Official Platte County criminal records come from the government office that created or maintains them. This private resource cannot accept or fulfill a records request. The contacts below route court files to the Circuit Clerk, sheriff and jail records to the Sheriff's Office, police reports to the investigating department, and statewide history checks to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Platte County record:

  • Court files and certified dispositions: contact the Platte County Circuit Clerk, 328 Main Street, Suite 5-CH, Platte City, MO 64079, at 816-858-2232, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sheriff reports and detention records: contact the Platte County Sheriff's Office, 11724 NW Plaza Circle Drive, Kansas City, MO 64153, at 816-858-2424; normal county hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but call first to confirm records-counter service
  • State criminal histories: order the appropriate MACHS product from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository
  • Police reports: request the report from KCPD, Parkville Police, Platte City Police, or whichever agency created it
  • General county Sunshine records: use the Platte County request form or County Clerk at 415 Third Street, Platte City, MO 64079
  • Expungement filings: file an eligible petition with the court that handled the charge or finding

The Platte County Sheriff's Office confirms report and booking-release procedures at 816-858-2424. Court-case requests do not go through the County Clerk or sheriff; the Circuit Clerk is the published court-record custodian.
